on lifeline... 2.7 has also end of life status.

Andrej Tibaut e7a08a3de6 #634 solved: 
- new method to_pystring(...) added to solve the TypeError: Can't mix strings and bytes in path components:
- import "urlib" changed to "urlib.urlretrieve"
- JSON version extracted to a constant
