Apparently (https://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=62572) coreutils have changed `mv -n` to throw an error now instead of working silently, therefore our build was failing on Mac when Github Action switched from Ubuntu 22 to 24. `--update=none` seems to restore the old behaviour.
